What is monolithic refractory?
Monolithic refractory is a type of refractory material that is produced on-site and installed seamlessly to form a monolithic structure. Typically, this material is composed of a mixture of refractory aggregates, binders, and additives, which are blended with water to create a workable consistency. Monolithic refractories can be cast, gunned, or sprayed onto a surface, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications that require high-temperature resistance and durability, such as furnaces, kilns, and incinerators. These materials are known for their excellent thermal shock resistance, low porosity, and high-temperature strength. Monolithic refractories offer several advantages over traditional refractory bricks, including faster installation times, reduced labour costs, and the ability to create complex shapes and structures.
