Product Description

Silica brick is a refractory product with silica as its main component, comprising over 94% of the content. As an acidic refractory material, it possesses robust resistance against acidic slag and exhibits a high load softening temperature. When heated below 600°C, silica bricks undergo irreversible volume expansion, leading to the closing of joints that ensures good airtightness and structural strength of the masonry. Silica bricks are commonly employed for load-bearing parts such as the partition walls of the carbonization and combustion chambers of coke ovens, regenerator and sedimentation chambers of the steelmaking open hearth furnace, soaking furnace, refractory material of the glass melting furnace, and the vaults of ceramic firing kilns. In addition, they are utilized in high-temperature load-bearing parts of hot blast stoves and the tops of acid open hearth furnaces.
